SITE MANAGER REQUIRED BASED ESSEX
Our client is pretty impressive! They are a leading global supplier of specialist ingredients to the Food, Beverage, Fragrance and Chemical industries. They are seen as market leaders of providing solutions within the development and innovation to the food, beverage and industrial industries. They don’t supply their customers with just the ingredients they need, but also aid them in the development and manufacturing of totally new products supporting them every step of the process via their own dedicated management teams.
Due to promotion within a key business unit in the UK, they are now looking to source a new Site Manager. Your role will require you to oversee day to day control of the business and as such you will be practical, enthusiastic and flexible to thrive in the fast-paced environment of the company. Duties will include:
-Managing all the day-to-day environmental, health and safety requirements -Monitoring the progress of the Site, reporting to the senior management team where appropriate -Ensuring that daily diaries are fully completed with sufficient detail -Overseeing delivery of materials and product onto to and away from site -Managing and maintaining short term project plans -Carrying out safety checks and sorting out any problems which could hold up work as they arise -Keeping in close contact with members of your site team -Working closely with the operations and technical team to ensure efficient manufacturing of product -Where appropriate, be the first point of contact for the clients -Being in control of the bulk of continuous improvement, plant performance, engineering, production, warehouse and logistics
The ideal Site Manager will have the following skills and experience:
-A related degree or an accrued experience of management of such a site -A sound understanding of health and safety with the ability to manage and report any site based issues -High level communicator with excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills -Excellent IT skills with experience of using Microsoft packages -Strong personality to raise concerns correctly and work under pressure towards agreed deadlines -An organised approach that understands the sequential order and deadlines of a large commercial manufacturing business
