Temporary Production Administrator - Near Hungerford - Membury, Berkshire
We are working with a leading manufacturer, with a long history and exciting growth plans, and an opportunity has now arisen to identify a suitable candidate to join the Operations department as they enter a new area (Apparel).

Initially, this individual will be assisting the Production & Distribution Coordinator in system release of all aspects of Logo & Corporate production orders;

* generating job packs for production and coordinating outside suppliers to deliver in line with despatch requirement
* ensuring smooth and timely order flow coordinating with sales and customer service teams

Under the supervision of the Production & Distribution Coordinator the primary responsibilities shall include:-

- Ensuring all aspects of custom Apparel orders and pre-production requirements are released, processed and sent to outside contractor in line with agreed lead times

- Assisting Production & Distribution Coordinator as required with production orders for internal and external processing (using SAP system to meet required date and production lead times)

- Ensuring all necessary information regarding order capacity requirements are communicated to production team and contractors

- Ensuring all external order processing is coordinated with outside suppliers and SAP paperwork is provided

- Work with Apparel team and customer services on priorities and order entry queries

- Ensuring all stock movement requirements for order processing are completed in a timely manner to avoid order delays

- Ensuring all internal reporting is completed and updated as required

- Ensuring SAP is updated with all information related to the Logo and Apparel activity

- Developing and sustaining a customer focused high performance and high quality environment committed to continuous improvement

- Ensuring performance targets are met

- Working closely with the Production & Distribution Coordinator and Manager to report results to include monthly statistics

- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and report any areas of concern

- Processing and understanding of post goods issue procedures

- Any ad hoc projects assigned

The successful candidate will offer the following experience and skills:-

* Required: 1 years proven experience working in a SAP driven operational environment demonstrating a good level of SAP knowledge and use

* Ability to plan, co-ordinate and evaluate workloads with an understanding of seasonal demands

* Strong interpersonal skill set including communication and problem solving with the ability to exercise sound judgement

* Good literacy, numeracy, analytical and attention to details skills

* Good manual skills with some warehouse experience

* Good computer and keyboard skills including a reasonable level of understanding with Microsoft Office

Preferred: Experience of embroidery and customisation and a good understanding of up to date Logo graphics / Digitising systems would be a distinct advantage but is not expected.

EDUCATION:

Required: Good level of education with analytical, numeracy and literacy capability.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be physically fit and capable of lifting and standing for long periods.

We are looking for a start in January 2012 - shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a set of online skill assessments and attend a personal interview in Newbury.

Own car and transport required to reach site. Although a full time position, our client can offer some flexibility regarding working hours.

NOTE:- This will be a temporary assignment initially as we operate with the other production roles but may lead to a permanent position in the future if demand dictates.
