Long term absence of Warehouse Supervisor through illness has created 3 month minimum requirement in this highly successful company, a highly respected, market leading manufacturer of medical equipment.
Operating as a member of an 8 strong Stores team, the Warehouse Supervisor will ensure the smooth running of materials / finished product storage, issue of materials to shop floor, picking / packing operations and dispatch. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all aspects of materials logistics, materials and data accuracy and general housekeeping.
Ultimately the Warehouse Supervisor will be measured on completing accurate and timely works orders and sales order dispatch, inventory accuracy and the management of transport / courier costs.
Key tasks of the role of Warehouse Supervisor include:
„X Plan and delegate the workload of the Materials Department, including monitoring production and factored goods priorities, resolving documentation problems and advising the Works Manager of any potential problems. „X Ensure all items received into the company are inspected in accordance with inspection instructions and all bookings etc are correctly entered onto the system. „X Responsible for co-ordinating the departmental efforts to meet required quality standards. Ensure that unacceptable results are analysed and with the assistance of the Quality Assurance Department, take action for improvement. „X Ensure that necessary information is communicated both inside and outside of the department. „X Managing, motivating and developing self and others. „X Ensure that all staff are trained and operate to the required standards of picking, packing and despatch, keeping errors to a minimum. „X Keeping an appropriate level of housekeeping in place to retain product/component integrity. „X Ensure that any inspection/counting equipment is regularly calibrated and entered onto the system by the appropriate department/person i.e. QA, external agency.
We need the Warehouse Supervisor to be a good teamworker who is able to coordinate and direct the activities of others. You must have a close eye for detail and be a ˇĄgood housekeeperˇ¦ with good planning and organizing skills. Good communication skills and relevant experience essential.
